Ага, похожие названия. Я раньше думала, что Duxford – самое близкое к Оксфорду по звучанию. У меня и Word слова Orford не знает (как и Duxford, впрочем), предлагает заменить на Oxford. :)

Вот, нашла их значения (это я для себя):
Orford is of Old English origin, and its meaning is "ford of cattle".
Oxford is of Old English origin, and its meaning is "ford of the oxen".
Ford – river crossing
А «Dux» означает:
1. Brit. the pupil who is academically first in a class or school.
2. (in the later Roman Empire) a military chief commanding the troops in a frontier province.
